Thunder Mountain

For the 2nd leg of our Bryce trip, we drove from Pine Lake up toward Powell Point, which is what my dad calls the "Escalante Mountain". It was a rough dirt road, then a muddy wet mountain bike, and finally a short hike out the actual point. The next morning we did what was the primary purpose of the trip, the Thunder Mountain mountain biking trail. Mikey had done it before, but was excited to do it with a "first timer" (and mtn biking novice, namely me). I had to walk some of the more technical areas, but I'm happy to report there was no carnage, neither to the bike nor my body...and the scenery was spectacular!
