Congaree National Park

My work sent me on a trip to our Georgia office, which I had been waiting for because Congaree NP in South Carolina is a mere 4-hour drive away. At first I thought June would be a great month to visit it...that is until I arrived and it was like 95 degrees and crazy humid...not to mention the Wind Rivers-in-July-esque swarms of mosquitoes. That's to be expected, I guess, from a swamp. :) I ended up packrafting a ways on Cedar Creek, and doing some hiking on the boardwalk and Weston Lake loop trail. There were tons of old growth trees, and all in all it was quite pretty....in a swampy sort of way.
