Red Rock Canyon

Alisa had never been to the Grand Canyon, so we decided to do a little spring break road trip to the GC by way of Vegas. I remember Alex Honnold mentioning Red Rock Canyon as a place he likes to climb, so we decided to check it out while in the vicinity. I picked two representative hikes, one called Calico Tanks that hikes up into the pretty red rock, and also has an outstanding view of downtown Las Vegas. We also did Ice Box Canyon which is nearby but a different type of scenery entirely. It ended in a nice box canyon with a little trickle of a waterfall.
