Mount Timpanogos

Coworker Rob's cousin Chad was planning a Timp run, and as I didn't have anything planned and am pretty much a sucker for anything Timpanogos (especially in the snow) I asked if I could tag along...despite the brutal 5am start time. Primrose was plenty full of snow, and the early start gave us great climbing. I'd never seen that much snow at Emerald Lake...only about 6 in. of the chimney of the shelter was sticking up out of the snow. Crazy. We didn't quite make it to the summit as the snow softened up and made that knife-edge ridge pretty sketchy going. We nearly bobbed all the way to the cars, however. :)
