Although it had been another relatively big snow year (2017 was as well) July came and I still hadn't done Red Baldy, which I'd been meaning to do this year since I hadn't in a couple years and its one of my favorite Wasatch routes. I decided to take a Wednesday off and "git 'er done" 'cause it was going to be hot all week. It was a perfect day, and I was reminded why this is one of my favorites...it has everything. Green and lush, pretty white granite against evergreen trees, snow, waterfalls, lakes, incredible views of the best peaks in the Wasatch....great snow climbing and bobbing. Awesome.
