Box Elder Peak - Sleigh Runner

After we'd finished Bonkers Dave suggested we do Box Elder via the Sleigh Runner...and since it's one of my favorite spring routes he didn't exactly have to twist my arm to agree to it. :) There is quite a bit less snow this year than last year, but Wide Hollow still had a decent amount, and the the consistency of the snow was quite good for climbing, so we made quick work of the Sleigh Runner. I couldn't decide between a controlled slide with the ice ax or just carefully stepping down (new boots, good traction edge), as either felt about equally safe (dangerous?). The bob down Wide was quite good. Fun times.
