Red Baldy
June 5, 2020 - Northern Utah
8.2 mi  /  3,591 ft
It had been hot and the snow was melting fast, and Red Baldy was calling my name. This is an absolute classic route in the Wasatch, imo...especially this time of year. You see three alpine lakes, lush green aspen groves, unbelievable views, some awesome steep snow climbing, knife-edge ridge traversal, and some classic Swiss bobbing back down. I was going to do it the day before, but decided to give my legs a one-day rest (taking full advantage of being furloughed) so Dave was able to take a Friday off and join me. We got a super early start and were there and back by about 10:30am. :)
