High Uintas - Garfield Basin / Kings Peak

This was a new area for Mike, Dave, and me. We JUST missed the magic no-mosquito June window in the High Uinta Mountains...in the lower elevations anyway. Garfield Basin turned out to be unexpectedly pretty. Green, still some snow in the mountains. We did some exploring/fishing in the lakes of the basin, and also summited Kings Peak, Utah's state highpoint. It was Mikey's first time on Kings. Dave went hardcore on us and bagged South Kings (2nd highest in Utah) as well. It was kind of a brutal trip given the time frame, but very rewarding. Especially after-the-fact! :)
