Zebra and Tunnel Canyons

Escalante in May is a great place and time, so when the Southern Utah forecast was sunny and Northern was rainy, it was a no brainer to head that direction. We took a few first-timers to Upper Calf Creek Falls, Zebra Canyon, and did a couple new ones, Tunnel Canyon and Red Breaks. Zebra was outstanding, like before, and Tunnel was short, but cool, both required some nearly waist-deep wading. Red Breaks required a nasty 2-mile sand slog to get to the good stuff, but did have some nice narrows and some fun up-climbs.
