Manitou Incline

The famous (infamous?) Manitou Incline is arguably the reason we chose to go on this CO road trip to begin with. Ever since Caleb, Tim, and I saw it the first time when we came down to do the cog railway to the top of Pikes Peak, I had it on my list. I showed it to Alisa and she became somewhat enthralled as well. So, despite Alisa having some back issues and a couple not-so-excited-to-do-it little girls, we got up early from our comfy Broadmoor beds and did the 2,768 steps (2,000 ft) in less than a mile. We all made it, too! To say we were sore the next couple days, esp going down stairs, would be an understatement. :)
