Wailua River / Secret Falls

Alisa had never been to Hawaii, and I'd been dying to get back to Kauai ever since I got a small taste of it way back in like 2002, so we decided to make Kauai our big June trip for this year and spent a week there. We did a ton of things, including three really nice hikes, the first of which was a combination tandem kayak up the Wailua River, and then a hike along the river in lush green conditions up to Secret Falls, a gorgeous 100ish foot waterfall. I took a quick swim at the base, and then we enjoyed some fresh pineapple that we'd bought and cut earlier. Amazing.
