It's been an abysmal snow year. Record heat, so a lot of the precip was rain, and it's melting fast. The snow climbing season is early and likely short this year. Mikey and I did this same route two years previously, only a month later in the year, there was WAY more snow. Crazy. Anyhow, it was still an enjoyable summit, and taking snowshoes ended up being the right choice, too, as it was soft and deep near the top. The swiss bob down ended up being subpar, too, due to the soft snow. Still have not dialed in the route-of-least resistance though...a couple bushwhacky spots. :(
