Red Baldy

Even though it was only mid-April, everything felt a month or so ahead of schedule and the snow was melting fast. With some poor weather in the forecast for the rest of the week, I decided to play hooky from work on a Tuesday and get one of my favorite routes under my belt this season before it was too late. The gate at the road to Silver Lake Flat was closed, so I put my otherwise dust-gathering ebike to good use and zipped up the dirt road to the trail head. :) Conditions were great, virtually not a soul, and Red Baldy went down. So good. I also got some unique drone footage this trip. The ebike down was...not so fun.
