Spinal Tap is an awesome new trail in the Pahavant Mountains west of Richfield. Richfield has been upping their outdoor adventure game lately and Spinal Tap is like their version of The Whole Enchilada in Moab. It starts at nearly 10k feet, and descends about 5k feet through several ecological zones...from an alpine-feeling environment with aspen trees, all the way down to a very Moab-esque deserty and technical rocky section. Amazing! We hired the shuttle to take us up and it ended up being a good choice 'cause you would not want to drive that rough, hour-long road three times in one day!
