Week 2 of 13 | Contest 2
|
Photo Info: |
This is my bro. Tim about 5 miles into our obligatory approach hike to the Lower Black Box on Saturday. This was his first hike in about 3 years and we'll just say he's not in prime hiking condition. "I'm never going again..." :) He's got a water bottle in his left hand and a spray bottle in his right. You can see Jeff, Shelley, and Holly in the background. |

I can't believe I got beat by my DAD. :) J/K
(Lane - Jul 22, 2005 12:38:54 AM)

i thought you said your dad had been beating you for years... oh, wait...that was something else. :)
(Michelle - Jul 22, 2005 10:08:26 AM)
|
As far as Power Rankings go, I'm the only one NOT getting beat by Lane's dad. I've got to revel in this top spot while it still lasts, ahhhhhhhh (sound of reveling)

There once was a Pollock named Tim Whose future appeared very grim With the sweat and the heat And his poor aching feet And the other kids laughing at him.

Tim: "Lane--I don't feel so good, and my water's all gone. I think I might need a doctor." Lane: "Just a sec. Just a sec. This is gonna make a great POTW." Tim: "I can't feel my legs anymore." Lane: "Just don't move--I've got the shot framed perfectly...Dammit, Tim! Quit swaying! You're ruining my picture!"

That woudln't be all too exciting since it is just Shelley and Holly. If maybee Michelle and Cat were there it would be a whole different story. :)

Amen!
(Michelle - Jul 20, 2005 09:50:34 AM)

i can't believe this caption is getting judged so harshly--it's a haiku, AND it openly condemns an entire line of snack cakes. this is art, people! :)
(Michelle - Jul 20, 2005 02:53:19 PM)
|
I guess when you say "Little Debbie" people feel the nostalgia of a summer picnic with the family complete with snack cakes, KFC, etc. Damning her would be like unto tossing a puppy in front of an oncoming bus or something. :)
(Lane - Jul 20, 2005 03:09:32 PM)
|
nostalgia nothing, lane... now, if we were condemning, say, twinkie the kid or dolly madison and her delicious raspberry zingers, that would be one thing. but little debbie? no fond memories there. :)
(Michelle - Jul 21, 2005 11:57:45 AM)

Impressive... You guys made me have to go to the net and read up on what a hiku was. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiku

I knew wahat a haiku was but I've never heard of a hiku before...
(Brian - Jul 21, 2005 04:38:45 PM)

i know the meaning of 'what', but i don't know the meaning of 'wahat'. =)

this has nothing to do with this caption...but...lane, when are you going to reveal the new penalty/reward system for stingy/generous voters?
